This page explains how to disable CSM

Disabling CSM in BIOS/UEFI:

  1. Access BIOS/UEFI Settings:

    • Restart your computer.

    • As your computer starts up, press the appropriate key to access the BIOS/UEFI settings. Common keys include F2, Del, F10, or Esc. The exact key may vary depending on your computer manufacturer.

  2. Navigate to Boot Options:

    • Within the BIOS/UEFI settings, navigate to the "Boot" or "Boot Options" section.

  3. Disable CSM:

    • Look for an option related to Compatibility Support Module (CSM) or Legacy Boot. This option may also be labeled "Legacy Boot Mode" or similar.

    • Set the CSM or Legacy Boot option to "Disabled" or "UEFI Only."

  4. Save and Exit:

    • Save your changes and exit the BIOS/UEFI settings. This is usually done by pressing F10 or selecting the appropriate option.

  5. Restart Computer:

    • Your computer will restart with CSM disabled and UEFI mode enabled.
